GA Service

GA Service Structure

Gamblers Anonymous does not have a defined service structure, but service is regularly performed. We encourage new members to get involved in service at the group level, Once you have established your foundation at the group level, we encourage you to branch to the next level of service at the intergroup, area, region, and finally at the GA world level. Ways you can get involved at the local group level include:

• Bring a friend to a meeting
• Set-up and break down the meeting
• Speak at a meeting, share your experience, strength and hope.
• Welcome newcomers, give them your phone number
• Say yes to service and grow in GA.
• Be Secretary or Chairperson of a Group/Meeting
• Be a Sponsor in GA
• Volunteer in the Intergroup Office
• Answer phones to be there for a struggling gambler and/or their loved ones
