SA Service

Sexaholics Anonymous (SA) is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from the problems of lust, sex, and pornography addiction. SA is based on the 12 Steps, 12 Traditions and 12 Concepts of Alcoholics Anonymous. The 12 Steps are the foundation for personal recovery and the 12 Traditions help SA groups sustain their unity and fellowship. The Twelve Concepts of provide guidance for service in the SA fellowship. SA Service Structure

Sexaholics Anonymous service is performed at the group level, the intergroup level and the national level. Representatives, delegates, trustees, and committee members at all levels of Sexaholics Anonymous service are the trusted servants of the SA fellowship. They do not govern and have no authority. Each individual serves at the direction of the fellowships membership, with only a loving God as the ultimate authority. It is vital to the unity of SA that information and service effort flow smoothly between all levels of the Sexaholics Anonymous service structure.

Members of SA also bring meetings and information into Correctional Facilities. The Sexaholics Anonymous Correctional Facilities Committee (SACFC). SACFC is a national committee made up of local members who are dedicated to carrying the SA message to incarcerated sexaholics. We support members, groups and Intergroups in their work with correctional facilities by providing them with literature that is commonly used by our members during 12-Step work and by sharing with them the experience, strength and hope that Sexaholics Anonymous has gained over time doing this work. This is wonderful service for our more experienced members who have been through the12 steps with their sponsors.

New members are encouraged to get involved in service at the group level of Sexaholics Anonymous. Once you have established your foundation at the group level, we encourage you to branch to the next level of service at the Intergroup level, before moving on to the national/international levels of Sexaholics Anonymous service. Ways you can get involved at the local group level include.

  • Bring a friend to a meeting
  • Set-up and break down the meeting
  • Speak at a meeting, share your experience, strength and hope.
  • Welcome newcomers, give them your phone number
  • Say yes to service and grow in SA.
  • Be Secretary or Chairperson of a Group/Meeting
