Overeaters Anonymous (OA) is a community of people who support each other in order to recover from compulsive eating and food behaviors. OA is based on the 12 Steps, 12 Traditions and 12 Concepts of Alcoholics Anonymous. The 12 Steps are the foundation for personal recovery and the 12 Traditions help OA groups sustain their unity and fellowship. The Twelve Concepts of Service in Overeaters Anonymous provide guidance for service in the OA fellowship and for spreading OA’s message world-wide. The Twelve Concepts of OA Service illustrate how OA members can apply the principles of the OA program to the working relationships within OA’s service structure. Use the links below to access information on OA Service Events, OA Service Literature, and OA Speakers talking about the benefits of doing service in Overeaters Anonymous.
