Disorders: Substance Use
1 in 10 veterans has faced issues of Substance Use Disorder, drug addiction, alcoholism, or other behavior addiction. SUDs is a result of affected health because of uncontrolled drug and alcohol use. Veterans adjusting to civilian life.
Adjusting to civilian life after the return home becomes extremely difficult for many veterans. For instance, they suffer from marital conflicts, financial problems, unresolved psychological issues, employment concerns, and physical pain. Treatment: Active-Duty Service Members
All the five branches of the US Military have available alcohol and drug rehabilitation services. Substance abuse is very common among military personnel and their loved ones. For instance, the substance abuse in active members can receive the following treatments:

- MCCSSAP (Marine Corps Community Services Substance Abuse Program): Marine Corps Community Services Substance Abuse Program includes screening for drugs and alcohol, counseling for substance abuse, aftercare, etc.
- SARP (Navy Substance Abuse and Rehabilitation): SARP West Coast at Naval Base Point Loma where inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, PTSD treatment, counseling, and aftercare referrals are provided with counseling and screening.
- ADAPT (Air Force Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment Program): Air Force Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment Program provide preventive education and treatment is provided to both family members and the active-duty personnel.
- SAPP (Coast Guard Substance Abuse Prevention Program): Coast Guard Substance Abuse Prevention Program (SAPP) provides Education, Treatment, and Training to support the US Coast Guard's policies are provided.
