Bill Wilson (Bill W) was the co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous, and along with Dr. Bob Smith, helped to develop the AA Program and the 12 Steps of recovery. Bill sobered up and co-founded AA when he was 40 years old and would remain sober for the remaining 35 years of his life, spending most of his considerable energy and mental acumen in helping create Alcoholics Anonymous, and speaking and sharing his story all over the world.
